Off Topic: The VerTex Titanium Multi-Tool

John J.Y. Lee is known in watch circles as the man behind Cobra de Calibre watches, but his newest Kickstarter project is not a Cobra de Calibre, does not tell time, and cannot be worn on your wrist. On the other hand, it can do just about everything else and look crazy bad-ass in the process.

The VerTex is a multi-purpose EDC tool hewn from TC4 titanium. What does it do? It fits in the palm of your hand, looks like a skull, holds your keys, opens bottles, fastens nuts, looks like a skull, punctures, grabs standard driver and socket bits, and oh… did I happen to mention it looks like a skull?

It is available in four finishes. You can get it acid washed and then blasted, blue anodized, or stone washed, but personally, I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want it in anything other than its awesome raw, stripey state. The VerTex is available on Kickstarter now starting at $69 CAD ($54 USD).
