The Time Bum exists simply because I love watches and I enjoy writing. I consider this blog to be a form of entertainment for my readers. The opinions expressed on this site are my own or those of the guest authors. I try to be fair to those who produce the products, as well as the consumers who will shell out their hard-earned cash to buy them. The information provided is factually accurate to the best of my knowledge at the time of writing but is not guaranteed. Readers are encouraged to do their own research, form their own opinions, and arrive at their own conclusions. Remember, I am not the definitive authority on watches, I am just a guy on the Internet. Although I am an attorney by profession, nothing on this site should be construed as legal advice or creating an attorney-client privilege.
I do not charge a fee to feature products on TheTimeBum.com. Any advertising on the site is open and obvious. I do not run "advertorials" or other paid advertising masquerading as editorial content. Some of the items featured on TheTimeBum.com have been purchased by me, some are on loan from manufacturers or private collectors, some have been given to me to keep, others are offered as giveaway prizes. This is entirely up to the entity or individual providing the item. Watch straps provided for review are generally not returned, for obvious hygienic reasons. I try to obtain samples for hands-on reviews as often as possible because I believe this is the best way to evaluate a product, but I will sometimes feature a preview of a piece that I have not yet handled. The decision to do so, like all editorial decisions, is my own and exercised at my sole discretion.
