BOLDR Pink Fighter Project

BOLDR Pink Fighter Project

Singapore micro brand BOLDR Supply Company has launched an initiative to raise awareness and funds to combat cancer. The Pink Fighter Project (PFP) was inspired by the real-life experiences of members of the company as they grappled with the debilitating physical and mental effects of the disease on both the patients and their loved ones. PFP kicks off with two brand new, limited edition BOLDR Venture models and a pledge to donate 25% of sales to cancer-related charities.

Company founder Leon Leong has already tried his hand at philanthropic projects with the Field Medic watch, donating a portion of its proceeds to Covid-19 relief efforts. Through that experience, he realized that the company’s resources could be further channeled to an even greater challenge. This subject is personal to Leon, having been through years of heartache as he witnessed his mother battle with nasal cancer.

“When someone you love dearly is fighting cancer, it is equally devastating regardless of whether they fight bravely or crippled with fear,” says Leon. “It pained me to see her facing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other debilitating forms of treatment because of its devastating effects physically and mentally.”

BOLDR Pink Fighter ProjectLeon notes that raising awareness also plays a major role in sounding the alarm for prevention by early detection. “If we are able to use our platform to raise awareness and contribute towards finding a cure, we consider it our responsibility to do so. Everyone has to face the fear of death but very often we do it alone, not realizing that someone around us may be looking for assurance and a listening ear. We should be talking about cancer and death and many other human challenges a lot more, as we are all fighting together. PFP is BOLDR’s way of contributing to the fight.”

The project is selling two special versions of two excellent BOLDR Venture models, the VK64 MechaQuartz PFP Field Medic and the automatic PFP Venture Earth. Both rugged titanium watches are 38mm wide, water resistant to 200m, and will sell for $339. Shipping begins October 7, 2021. BOLDR will manufacture 100 pieces of each model and donate 25% of sales. The watches are available for purchase only on BOLDR’s website and from its partner stockists: Windup Watch Shop from Brooklyn, NY, Seriouswatches of Netherlands, Timezone from Vietnam, Link & Tag from Taiwan, and FiveFortyFive from New Zealand.
