Update: District Time 2023

[Update to the update, January 18, 2023: new exhibitors, more prizes, and a media partner.]

Show Update! While all of you were celebrating the holidays and sipping egg nog and whatnot, the District Time team was busy preparing for our next Washington, D.C. watch fair. District Time 2023, Sponsored By Tsao Baltimore, will take place March 4-5, 2023, at the District Architecture Center, at 421 7th Street NW, Washington, D.C. We will now have over two dozen brands exhibiting, and we are gathering fabulous prizes to give away at the event.

For those who have never attended, District Time is a casual, welcoming event that brings independent and micro band watch companies to our nation’s capital. It is open to the public from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days and is free of charge. Bill McDowell and I have been doing this since 2016, and it has always been great fun. Our exhibitors come from across the country and around the globe, giving metro-area watch enthusiasts the chance to see a huge variety of watches.

Watches are very personal items. You really need to hold one in your hand and strap it on your wrist to really appreciate it. District time gives you that chance, as well as an opportunity to chat with the brand owners and designers, see newly-launched products, mingle with your fellow watch fans, and buy a watch for yourself.  Some brands will have special event pricing, so maybe buy two. You deserve it.

Of course, the lead sponsor of District Time 2023, Tsao Baltimore, will be right up in the front gallery along with our other sponsors Formex, Stella Watch Company, and Towson Watch Company, as well as McDowell Time.

The current exhibitor list is below. There will be more added in the coming weeks.

We’ve got quite an eclectic mix: micros, independents, and authorized dealers from all over the country and around the globe. Really, if Circula can fly in from Germany and Havaan Tuvali can make the trip from Taiwan, you can certainly brave the Beltway to meet them!

Our giveaways have proven to be quite popular — and for good reason. We always have a great selection of prizes ready to hand out to lucky attendees. So far, we’ve got:

  • Three Stella strap packages, including one cowhide strap and one denim watch pouch (ARV $105 ea.),
  • Vario Versa reversible duo-face watch ($428),
  • Farr+Swit Solar Chrono watch ($489), and
  • Two RZE Valour 38 field watches ($299 ea.),

You can bet that we will add more to that prize table before showtime.

Our venue, the District Architecture Center, is located in D.C.’s Penn Quarter neighborhood and is conveniently located to both public parking and the Chinatown/Gallery Place Metro station.

As I mentioned, we have more in the works, so be sure to check this space and DCWatchShow.com for updates. We can’t wait to see you there!
